ARTEZA Acrylic Paint Set Review: Good Paint for the Price?
Twenty four tubes of thick acrylic from one of the most reviewed art supply brands on Amazon. Why the labels matter, and what a lower price leaves out.
Yes, for hobby painters who want many colors for little money. Every tube lists the pigment number and lightfastness [1], and the high viscosity paint holds texture from a brush or knife [1]. Skip it for a painter who already owns a full student set or wants artist grade paint.

Read the label before mixing
Budget acrylic sets often hide what is in the tube. ARTEZA does the opposite: each labeled tube lists the color name, pigment number and lightfastness rating [1]. A painter can see which reds are single pigment and which colors will fade, which helps with clean mixes.
The set has twenty four 22 ml tubes [1], a full palette straight from the box.
Thick paint for texture
The formula is high viscosity [1]. It holds a brushstroke and builds texture with a palette knife, so a painter can layer and sculpt instead of flat washes. The listing says it suits canvas, wood, paper and craft surfaces [1].
It is AP certified non-toxic and cleans up with soap and water [1], which matters for painters working at the kitchen table.
What the lower price leaves out
This is a hobby and student paint. Some colors need a second coat to cover, and a painter used to professional acrylics will notice less pigment per stroke.
Compared with the Liquitex BASICS set in this guide, ARTEZA costs less for the same tube count and adds better labels; BASICS has the longer reputation in classrooms.
The hobby painter it fits
It is the generous set for a hobby painter on a budget: rock painters, canvas night regulars, teens getting serious. Pair it with the U.S. Art Supply canvas six pack and the gesso from this guide.
Add the Masterson Sta-Wet palette if they paint across several evenings.
FAQ
Is ARTEZA acrylic paint good for beginners?
Yes. The ARTEZA Acrylic Paint Set has twenty four colors in 22 ml tubes [1], thick paint that holds texture [1] and an AP non-toxic certification [1]. That is a lot of color for a beginner to explore. As skills grow, many painters keep ARTEZA for practice and buy artist paint for finished work [1]
Is ARTEZA acrylic paint lightfast?
It depends on the color, which is why the labels matter. Each ARTEZA tube lists its pigment number and lightfastness rating [1], so a painter can check before using a color on a piece meant to hang in sunlight. Colors with a top rating hold up best over time [1]
Is ARTEZA acrylic paint non-toxic?
The listing says the ARTEZA Acrylic Paint Set is AP certified non-toxic and cleans up with soap and water [1]. That makes it a common pick for family painting at the kitchen table. As with any paint, keep it away from mouths and wash brushes in a sink, not a food bowl [1]
