Pros and cons
- Acrylic is warm in a crowded room
- Not a classic Christmas look
- Fewer care details on the listing than other picks
Raptors in the Christmas lineup
The design shows three velociraptors in a holiday knit, a nod to the Clever girl line from Jurassic Park. Fans see the joke in a second; everyone else just sees dinosaurs in a Christmas sweater.
That double read is what makes it work at an office party. Nobody feels left out, and the fans get a private laugh.
Blizzard Bay sells it as a men's long sleeve ugly Christmas sweater with bold colors meant to grab attention [1].
The sweater also works for people who missed the film, because dinosaurs in a Christmas sweater are funny on their own. That makes it a safe joke for a mixed office.
Acrylic knit and the fit
It is a pull-on crew neck made of 100% acrylic, exclusive of decoration [1]. Acrylic holds bright colors well, which helps the raptors pop in photos.
The listing calls it soft and comfortable with an easy fit [1]. Order your usual sweater size, and size up if you want to wear a shirt underneath.
Acrylic knits run warm, so a T-shirt underneath is cooler than a collared shirt at a crowded party.
Photos that need a softer look
The catch is the family card. A grandmother planning a matching red photo may not want dinosaurs in the front row.
Care details are also thin on this listing. Treat it like any acrylic knit: cold wash, gentle cycle and dry flat to keep the shape.
The gift for the movie fan
It suits the friend who has quoted the film for decades, or the parent of a dinosaur kid. A matching kid's dino top makes it a family joke.
From the same guide, the Tstars Dino Gamer Kids Ugly Christmas Sweater is that kid's match, and the Wild Bobby Happy Birthday Jesus Ugly Christmas Sweatshirt suits another movie fan at the same party.
