Everlasting Comfort Seat Cushion Review: Softer Desk Days?
A memory foam cushion with a U-shaped cutout at the back, sized for an office chair and easy to move to a car or plane seat. The most practical gift in the coworker guide.
Yes, for coworkers stuck on a hard or worn office chair. It softens the seat in a minute and the cover goes in the washing machine [1]. Skip it if their chair already fits well, since a cushion raises the seat height.

Pros and cons
- Raises the seat height
- Above most coworker gift budgets
- Can feel warm in long sessions
The chair nobody chose
Office chairs are bought in bulk and sat in for years. The seat goes flat, and the person sitting on it feels every hour.
A cushion is the cheap fix. It is not glamorous, but for someone on long shifts at a desk it may be the gift they use most.
It also asks nothing of the office. No facilities ticket, no new chair request, no budget approval: it sits on whatever chair the person already has, and it goes with them if they change desks, floors or jobs.
Foam, cutout and cover
The cushion is made of memory foam that conforms to the body, with an ergonomic U-shaped cutout at the back [1]. The maker says the cutout eases tailbone and lower back pressure [1].
A breathable cover zips off and goes in the washing machine, and the non-slip bottom keeps it from sliding on the chair [1].
It is sized for office chairs but also fits car seats and airplane seats, so it can go home or on a trip [1].
Height and budget
Any cushion raises the seat. On a chair that is already set well, the desk can end up too low. Most office chairs adjust, but check.
It is also at the top of a typical coworker budget. This is a gift for one person you sit near, or a team gift for someone with a bad back.
Memory foam can feel warm during long sessions, which the breathable cover helps with.
Who to give it to
Give it to the coworker who stands up stiff after every long meeting, or to someone returning to the office after time away.
From this guide, the Zojirushi mug and the Leuchtturm notebook are smaller companions if you want to add something personal.
Skip the jokes in the card about age or backs. A simple "for the long days" reads better.
FAQ
Does the Everlasting Comfort seat cushion fit office chairs?
Yes. It is made for office chairs and also fits car seats, airplane seats and other seating, according to the listing [1]. The non-slip bottom keeps it in place, though very narrow chairs may leave the edges hanging over. This listing is the large size [1]
Can you wash the Everlasting Comfort cushion cover?
The cover is breathable and machine washable, the listing says [1]. Remove it before washing and keep the memory foam itself out of the machine. A washable cover matters for a cushion used every workday, especially in a shared office [1]
Is a seat cushion a good gift for a coworker?
It can be, for someone who already complains about their chair. It is practical and used every day, but it touches on comfort and health, so give it to a coworker you know rather than to the whole team. Keep the card light and kind [1]
