LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar Review: Is It Fun?
Eight Hogwarts students in Christmas sweaters, a few famous creatures and a pile of tiny props. A look at what the doors hold, what the listing costs, and who it suits.
Mostly yes, for a Harry Potter fan who still plays with LEGO. The doors hold minifigures in Christmas sweaters and famous creatures such as Hedwig and Buckbeak [1]. The catch is price: this listing sits above what LEGO usually charges, so compare sellers before you buy.

Students in holiday sweaters
The draw is the cast. The listing names eight minifigures in Christmas sweaters, including Harry Potter, Luna Lovegood, Cho Chang, Draco Malfoy and Cedric Diggory, each holding a wand [1].
There are also six figures from the films: Hedwig, a winged Buckbeak, a Thestral, Aragog with movable legs, a Mandrake and a stag Patronus [1].
Props a fan will recognize
The ten mini models are the in-jokes: a Hogwarts acceptance letter, a Chocolate Frog, Butterbeer, Bertie Bott's beans, three wands, a Sorting Hat, the Monster Book of Monsters and two Galleon coins [1].
Instructions are printed on the back of each door, so nothing gets lost in a drawer [1]. Builds take minutes, and the total is 278 pieces for ages 7 and up [1].
For a younger fan, the props are the best part. A tiny Sorting Hat or a Chocolate Frog turns into a whole afternoon of pretend Hogwarts, and the minifigures already have their wands in hand.
A price above the usual
This Amazon listing is priced higher than LEGO usually charges for an advent calendar, and its title reads like an import listing [1]. Check the seller and the delivery date before you add it to the cart.
It is also the 2025 edition [1]. If a newer Harry Potter calendar is in stock at a lower price, that is the better buy for a fan who wants this year's figures.
Pairing it for siblings
Two kids, two calendars is the peaceful way to run December. This one pairs with the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar for a sibling who prefers droids, so both open a build at the same breakfast.
For an adult fan, the Lindt Teddy Chocolate Advent Calendar adds a sweet next to it without doubling the cost.
Wrap it flat and slip a short note inside: one door a day, no peeking ahead. Most kids try to open three on the first morning, and the note settles the argument.
FAQ
Which minifigures are in the LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar?
The listing names Harry Potter, Cho Chang, Draco Malfoy, Hannah Abbott, Angelina Johnson, Luna Lovegood, Blaise Zabini and Cedric Diggory, all in Christmas sweaters with wands [1]. Fans also get creature figures such as Hedwig and a winged Buckbeak, which are the pieces collectors look for [1]
Is the LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar good for adults?
For an adult fan who displays minifigures, yes. The holiday sweater versions of the students are the reason most grown-ups buy it. If they want a big Hogwarts build, a regular LEGO Harry Potter set gives far more building time for the money [1]
