LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari F1 Review: For Grown Fans?
A small LEGO model of Ferrari's Formula One car with a driver minifigure. For the boyfriend who watches every race on Sunday morning, it is a cheap gift that shows you noticed.
Yes, for a Formula One fan, as a stocking gift or a small extra. It is an evening build that becomes a desk model [1], and the line covers several teams. Check his team first; a Ferrari for a McLaren fan misses the point.

Pros and cons
- Short build for an experienced LEGO fan
- Sticker heavy, which some builders dislike
- Wrong team is worse than no gift
A gift for race weekend
Formula One has picked up a huge American audience in the last few years, and plenty of boyfriends now set alarms for Sunday races. A small LEGO car of his team is a gift that says you listen when he talks about it.
Big LEGO sets cost a lot and take a weekend. This is the opposite: cheap, quick and easy to wrap, and it ends up on his desk next to the monitor where he watches qualifying.
Pieces, size and details
The set has 275 pieces and builds a Ferrari SF-24, the car from the 2024 season, with a driver minifigure in a Ferrari outfit and helmet [1]. It measures about 8 inches long and includes a rear wing, a halo bar and Pirelli tires [1].
LEGO sells it for ages 10 and up, but the listing also calls it out for adult car model collectors [1]. Other teams sit in the same LEGO F1 range, sold separately [1].
Expect an hour or two of building, depending on how carefully he places the stickers.
Pick the right team
Fans are loyal. A Ferrari model for a die-hard McLaren or Red Bull fan lands like a jersey from the rival team. Ask a casual question about his favorite driver before you order.
Seasoned LEGO builders may also find it short. For him, it is a fun bonus, not the main event.
Stickers are the other small gripe. The sponsor details come as stickers rather than printed pieces, and careful builders spend extra time lining them up.
Wrap it with race day snacks
Give it on Christmas Eve or tuck it into a stocking, and he can build it during the slow days after the holiday. It makes a fun first gift for a new relationship.
From this guide, it pairs with the JBL Flip speaker for race day at his place, or with the Nike Everyday Cushioned Training Crew Socks as a cheap stocking pair.
