Simple Joys Baby Holiday Pajamas Review: First Christmas?
Two long sleeve tops and one pair of pants in snug cotton holiday prints, from Carter's line on Amazon. Made for a baby's first Christmas and the spit-up that comes with it.
Yes, for a baby or toddler having a first or second Christmas. The set gives you two tops for one pair of pants, which is the right ratio for babies [1]. Skip it once the child is past baby and toddler sizes.

Pros and cons
- Baby and toddler sizes only
- Only one pair of pants per set
- Prints do not match adult sizes
Two tops for a messy morning
Babies do not keep a top clean through a whole Christmas morning. This set comes with two long sleeve tops and one pair of pants [1], so a spill does not end the outfit before the photos.
Pants rarely get the same damage, which is why the ratio works. It is a small design choice that parents notice by noon.
Reindeer, snowflakes and soft cotton
The listing describes fun holiday prints, from reindeer to snowflakes [1]. They look festive without being loud, which suits a baby photo with grandparents.
The fabric is soft, breathable cotton cut snug [1]. Under a sleep sack or a light blanket, a baby stays comfortable without the sweat that fleece sleepers can cause in a warm house.
The long sleeves add warmth for cooler nights in December [1].
Only for the smallest sizes
This is a baby set. Once a child moves past toddler sizes, look at Leveret or Amazon Essentials instead.
The snug fit also means babies grow out of it quickly. Buy the size the baby wears in December, not the size you hope will fit in March.
There is no adult version of these prints. If the family wants to match, this is the baby's set, not the family's.
Cotton can tighten a little in a hot dryer, so dry it on low or hang it if the set is already close to the limit of the size.
First Christmas photos and gifts
It is an easy gift for a baby shower in winter or for new parents at Christmas, and it costs less than most toys [1].
From the same guide, pair it with The Children's Place Family Matching Christmas Pajamas for the older siblings, or with the Burt's Bees Baby Matching Family Jammies if the parents want a print in their own size.
FAQ
What comes in the Simple Joys holiday pajama set?
Each set has two long sleeve tops and a matching pair of pants, all in snug fit cotton with holiday prints [1]. The extra top is handy for babies who spill at breakfast. The listing also notes the pajamas are machine washable for easy care [1]
Are Simple Joys pajamas warm enough for a baby in winter?
They are soft cotton with long sleeves, which the listing says adds warmth for cooler nights [1]. In a heated home, cotton plus a sleep sack is usually enough. In a cold room, follow safe sleep advice and add a wearable blanket rather than loose covers [1]
