Squishmallows Mystery 3-Pack Review: Fun to Open?
Three medium Squishmallows in a sealed box, with no way to know which characters are inside. A plush gift built for the moment of unwrapping, which is exactly what a gift swap is about.
Yes, for exchanges with teens, collectors and anyone who already has a Squishmallow on the bed. The box holds three medium plush and a surprise [1]. Skip it if the person wants one specific character; you cannot choose.

The mystery is the gift
A plain stuffed animal gets a polite smile. A sealed box of Squishmallows gets a crowd, because nobody knows who is inside until it opens. That suspense is built into the product.
According to the listing, the pack holds three medium mystery Squishmallows, drawn from fan favorites, new styles and Amazon exclusives [1]. Some boxes even include a rare character [1].
Size, softness and the seal
Each plush is the 8 inch medium size [1]. That is big enough to hug and small enough to sit on a desk, a car seat or the end of a bed.
The listing stresses that it is an official Squishmallows product with an official seal [1], which matters in a market full of lookalikes. Real ones have the brand tag, and fans check.
The fabric is the soft, stretchy plush Squishmallows are known for, filled to squash flat and spring back. That squish is the whole appeal, and it is why adults steal them too.
What you cannot control
You cannot pick the characters. For a casual fan that is the fun; for a serious collector hunting one specific plush, a mystery box can disappoint.
Duplicates happen too if they already own a big squad. And at the medium size, these are companions rather than the giant pillow versions some teens keep on the bed. If you know their favorite character, buy that single plush instead of a mystery box.
Opening it in the circle
Let the person open it in front of everyone. The reveal of each character is half the entertainment, and a rare one starts a steal right away.
From this guide, pair it with the Relatable Happy Helpers Octopus Heating Pad for a plush-themed bundle, or with the Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza card game for a teen-friendly gift under one budget.
FAQ
What comes in a Squishmallows mystery pack?
This pack holds three medium mystery Squishmallows [1]. Characters come from fan favorites, new styles and Amazon exclusives, and some boxes include a rare one [1]. You cannot choose which characters arrive, which is the point of a mystery box and part of why it works as a gift exchange pick [1]
How big are the Squishmallows in the mystery 3-pack?
They are the 8 inch medium size, according to the listing [1]. That is about the size of a small throw pillow when squished, good for a desk, a car or a shelf. For a full-size cuddle pillow, look for the larger single plush instead [1]
Are Squishmallows a good white elephant gift for adults?
Often, yes. Plenty of adults collect them, and a sealed mystery box draws a crowd when it is opened. They are soft and light, so they work as couch or car pillows too [1]. In a group of practical adults with no teens around, a kitchen gadget or a blanket may get more steals [1]
